HOLY CHILD CATHOLIC SCHOOL
GUIDELINES FOR CHILDREN'S CHOIR
Welcome to Holy Child Children's Choir!
Entry level: 4th Grade
These guidelines are intended to make the choir perform at its best.
MISSION OF THE CHOIR
Holy Child Children's Choir is established to develop in its members a
greater appreciation for, and contribution, to liturgy of the Church. In
addition, it fosters ideals that include discipline, dedication to both
short- and long-term goals, respect for peers and teachers, self-respect,
the ability to work within a group towards a common goal, and recognition of
the value of hard work to achieve what is truly fine. These qualities will
enrich the lives of the students and their communities as they reach
adulthood and carve out their places in the world.
ATTENDANCE AND ATTITUDE
As a member of the choir, each student is responsible to the rest of the
choir to put forth his or her effort to make the choir the best it can be.
we are on a "Quest for Excellence". Therefore, not only is attendance at
all practices, Masses, or events very important, but so also is the
student's attitude.
ATTENDANCE POLICY
There are times when conflicts arise, no matter how much planning is
involved. Oermission slips, signed the parent or guardian, for events
outside of school time will indicate that the student will (will not) attend
the event. The only exception is an unforeseen emergency that cannot be
avoided.
Non-attendance at practice without a signed note will be considered an
unexcused absence. Three such ansences will be taken as resignation from
the choir.
CHOIR REGULATIONS
All school rules apply when the choir is together asw a group.
