Mrs. Noonan begins her thirty-fourth year of teaching here at Holy Name. She
has twenty-nine of those years in Second Grade. She has taught First and
Fourth grades here at Holy Name, but Second seems to be "home" for her. She
truly enjoys sharing her faith and helping her boys and girls prepare for the
Sacraments of Penance and Holy Eucharist. This is the "heart" of Second
Grade. When she does have some R&R time, she enjoys writing, cooking and
baking, sewing, crocheting, cross-stitching, and curling up with a good
mystery.
Our Mission in Second Grade is to grow closer to God on our daily faith
journey through prayer, learning more about our faith, celebrating mass, and
preparing for the Sacraments of Penance and Holy Eucharist. It is also to
help each child to strive to do their best in all subject areas and to begin
to recognize their God given talents and their potential to use these gifts.
It is to guide each child to grow in self-confidence and to believe that God
has created them to be the unique individuals they are growing to become.
