The Mission and Vision of the Lake Lehman School District is as follows:
Mission.
The Mission of the Lake-Lehman School District is to foster a safe learning
community that will prepare our students to be responsible lifelong learners
and productive citizens in a diverse society.
Vision
The vision of the Lake-Lehman School District is to demonstrate a clear and
shared understanding of our goals, which are focused on student learning,
communication, transitions and sustained improvement. We will create
consensus among staff and community about the aims and values of the
district and how they can be consistently and collaboratively put into
practice. Our technologically driven curriculum, teaching and learning, and
professional development strategies are consistent with the district’s
vision, goals, and standards established by the Pennsylvania Department of
Education. Our vision is based on the premise that effective education is
secured through meaningful relationships and that each individual in contact
with our children shares equal responsibility in the educational journey.
Shared Values
We believe that student success is achieved by:
Encouraging the concepts of lifelong learning and lifelong activity
Promoting effective communication between community and school
Cultivating professional development opportunities driven by internal needs
assessment
Stimulating critical thinking skills
Fostering character development
Establishing challenging academic expectations
Promoting a healthy social and an emotional environment
