NASA Kids
This is a kids' site for Space Day. (May 4) Kids can blast off
into informative sections on space, aircrafts, and astronauts. They even
learn how much they would weigh on other planets. There is also a
section called "Teacher's Corner" where you can find links to other
kid-friendly NASA sites, including "Thursday's Classroom"
(www.thursdaysclassroom.com), where the topics -- from eclipses to
meteors -- change about once a week. By scrolling to the bottom you
can access the archives.

around the "Xpedition Hall" at the National Geographic's Web site
and see virtual exhibits on everything from mapmaking to the Paris
Metro! Teachers should check out "Family Xpeditions" for engaging
activities for all ages that are updated every other week. You can also
gather more lesson plans, link to other geography Web sites, and print out
over 600 maps.
