Our theme for the past two weeks was, "Thanksgiving." Some of the activities
that the students enjoyed includes:
•Discussing the traditions of Thanksgiving and ways in which families
celebrate the holiday
•Reading a variety of Thanksgiving stories and learning about the first
Thanksgiving
•Sharing what we are thankful for and sharing information about our favorite
Thanksgiving foods
•Discriminating food items (items you can eat) from other house hold objects
•Practicing tracing shapes on a tepee and the Mayflower (Fine-motor skills)
•Making play dough turkeys with feathers
•Growing a garden (Playing in the sensory table with sand, plastic
vegetables, and garden tools)
