All work for art class is produced in the Art Room studio and the children
will see their work displayed in the hallways and in the school library and
school cases and in local area libraries and selected work will be exhibited
in Art contests from time to time. I would like to remind families that all
students need a smock for Art class and students will be asked at times to
bring in various supplies, such as recyclable materials to be used in class
to complete artwork. Smocks for the Art class can simply be an oversized
t-shirt or a clean, used adult shirt. Please see the smock is labeled with
the students name. Thank you for your support.
If you have any questions about anything pertaining to Art class please feel
welcome to contact me by email at anita.davidson@mdpschool.com. I can also
be reached by phone at school by calling 610-265-2323. It is always a
pleasure to hear from our school families.
Hello Families,
I would like to recommend taking the time with your children to see a
worthwhile display in the weeks ahead. It is the work of a well known
American artist, Norman Rockwell. Rockwell many of the children study in art
class over the school year at some time. I highly recommend seeing this
display located at the King of Prussia Mall till March 2010.
Step inside the Art of Norman Rockwell
At the King of Prussia Mall-
October 29th - March 14th
It is not an art exhibit, but a complete museum-like experience one of
America’s most beloved illustrator. Includes interactive educational
experiences, life size 3 dimensional depictions, selected segments from
Rockwell’s Oscar winning film, and a 100-piece art exhibit.
The following link is for the Norman Rockwell display at the King of Prussia
Mall. Please feel free to look it over for yourself.

Check it out before going to see it in person. There is a $5.00 fee for
adults, and children under 12 are FREE! It is located near the end of the
mall near the Rite Aid.(Where the old "Strawbidges/ Wanamakers" store used to
be.) You will enter and watch a 6 minute video and then the curtains open up
and you and your child can move about and be interactive in the Art display.
Truly worth your time and a visit! Have fun and learn about ART!
Enjoy and Happy Holidays to all!
