This week: READ FOR 15 MINUTES EVERYDAY. Pick out all of the words you
recognize.
Monday: Worksheets. Practice your sight words as listed above for
unit 1 as well as the tapping words. Practice your sight words. Practice the
letter sounds, especially the vowels- a-e-i-o-u.

Tuesday: Practice your phone number. It must be memorized. Color Mr.
Pp "pointy patches." Cut and paste 5 pictures on the
back that begin with that sound. Have your child tap out the words and
print the letters that he/she hears in the word. Small words with 3-5 letters
are best. Please do not expect the children to spell the silent letters
because they can not hear them so they do not tap those letters. PLEASE DO
NOT SPELL THE WORDS FOR YOUR CHILD. He/she will enjoy the success!

Wednesday: Practice your address and phone number. They should be
memorized. Please review all letters, uppercase and lowercase, as well as the
letter sounds. Use the letter people sheet for the sounds. The children can
sing the sounds to you. The children will be tested on letter identification
and sounds on Friday.

Thursday: Practice your address. You should know it by memory. Bring in
one item that begins with the Pp sound for SHOW-N-TELL on Friday.
Practice number identification 0-25.

Have a nice weekend!
