Worked in industry (Analytical & Research/Development) for about 8 years
before becoming certified to teach.
Worked in different scientific areas (environmental, research & development,
healthcare, manufacturing) and states (Alaska and Pennsylvania, plus travel
to many other places).
2012-2013 School Year is my 10th year of teaching (19th & 20th if you
consider block scheduling...)

Don't get me confused with Mr. Myers across the hall...
It's important to understand that the purpose of CP Chemistry is not to turn
you into chemists. You will not be able to do research or understand
detailed research journals. You will be learning many important tools and
skills; note-taking and organizing, scientific inquiry, problem-solving and
logical thinking, laboratory techniques, time management, and following
prescribed procedures. This class prepares you for the type of work and
situations you are likely to encounter in college or in any career.
You will do well in Chemistry (and life) if you LISTEN and THINK!
