FASHION DESIGN
Guest speaker in the design buisness Friday December 12. Combined class with
the Construction half of the class. Come prepared with questions! If you are
considering a design or fashion major, bring portfolio and/or sewing pieces.
FD1-Uniform Design project late as of December 8. -2 points for each day late.
FD2-Inspiration by a Famous Designer project late as of December 8. -2 points
for each day late.
Homework Assignment: Reading "The Design Room" and "Successfully Designing a
Garment" for Thursday December 11 with 5 questions on the reading
INTRO TO STUDIO ART (PAINTING AND DRAWING SECTION)
First project on collage must be completed Monday December 15.
First Sketch Assignment "Collage Sektch" given 12/11. Assignment due December
18.
Students should collect and bring to class on Monday December 15 1 to 3 object
(s) from nature. This would include flowers, seashells, pinecones, leaves,
plants, fruit/vegetables, rocks, etc.
CERAMICS
New Project: Artist Teapot, begun 11/25
Notebook check completed December 4.
Artist Teapot Sketch due Thursday December 4. Sketch is worth 40 points, and
is considered late with a five point penalty for each class day not handed in.
Journal Assignment on Teapot Project given on 12/12. Assignment due December
19.
As of December 10, all ceramic students MUST be working on the teapot form.
Students are to be aware this new project must be completed when leaving for
winter break on December 23!
For Marking Period 2, ceramic students have 3 wheel thrown pieces due:
1. a Pitcher form with handle
2. a Jar form with a wheel thrown lid
3. a Free Choice piece that is wheel-trimmed and whose silouhette must
be defined (see poster in the back of the Craft Room).
