This is Miss C's 11th year in first grade. She is one the marching band directors at the
high school too. Miss Campbell is a graduate of Northwestern! She was a first grader
in the same building as all the first graders this year! She graduated from Penn State
and Edinboro and is still in school!
We learn in first grade to take care of each other. We use words to solve problems and
help our friends solve problems. We practice taking turns and letting each other know
that everyone in our room is important.
We discover the joy of learning!
We learn how to work with words so we can read them and write them. We learn about
numbers so we can solve problems and understand the world around us.
We try to find everyone's strength. It could be great reading, it could be great paintings
at the art center, it could be super math thinking. It could even be learning how to be a
great friend!
