What We Did This Week:
This week we continued our Alice Presentations. This is a computer generated software program that I am teaching
the students the basics of. Students are writing a story and then design
lines of code to make the characters on the software program act out
their story. This is a free download that students can also do at home.
We will only be learning the very basic parts of the program.
This week in Math we focused on geometry and fractions. Students learned how to find the circumference of a circle. On Wednesday and Thursday reviewed how to add, subtract, multiply, and divide fractions. On Friday we focused only on Science.
You can now check grades online. They will be updated every Friday morning. You will be able to see my gradebooks for Math, Science, And Soc. Studies. Just click on the following link and use the ID and Password that I stapled in the front of your child's agenda.
Check Grades online Remember that any Math assignment can be redone.
What We Will be Doing Next Week:
Next week in Science we will be continuing our Alice Projects. The students will be finishing making their stories into a computer generated animation for the class to watch. We will be watching our Presentations on Monday.
This week in Math we will continue our review of 5th grade material that the students need to know for 6th grade.
I want to thank everyone for a great year! I hope everyone has a great summer. Good Luck in middle school.
