Mr. Parker loves to learn and to share that love with students.
Specifically, he loves solving math problems and working "hands-on" in
science. He is very proud of his students as every year they act kindly
towards each other and strive to be the best students they can be.
Mr. Parker loves nature and you can find him year round at sunny
Camp Fitch enjoying the outdoors. Luckily, all of fifth grade joins him
there every February for an exciting three days of learning. During the
summer, he serves there as a camp chaplain and waterfront director.
Mr. Parker loves to hear about all of the great things his former
students accomplish and enjoys their visits during the year. Every one
of his students is special and has unique talents. There is no greater
joy than watching students discover a special talent and gain
confidence as learners. All children are smart and have great
contributions to make to class.
Everyone needs time to think and learn.
It's OK to make mistakes. That's the way we learn.
We each learn in our own ways, by our own time clocks.
It's intelligent to ask for help. No one need do it all alone.
We can do more and learn more when we're willing to risk.
