About The Teacher

Welcome to my Technology HomePage. My name is Barbara Knezo and I am
the Technology Coordinator for PJPII Grades 5 - 8. As the 2011-2012
School year begins, I begin my sixteenth year teaching technology. My
background includes a previous tenure of 20 years working for UNISYS
Corporation in Software Development and Test Design. I am an Immaculata
University graduate with a BA in Informational Technology.

At Pope John Paul II Regional Catholic I am proud to play an instrumental
role in the FIOS installation and implementation of Network Services. I
additionally manage the Network Administration for the
building.

I have been successful in procuring the following Grants for PJPII:
1998 Connelly Grant - $40,000
2006 Sullivan Foundation Grant - $35,000
2010 OCE/Connelly Stimulus Grant - $25,000

I have drafted the PJPII Technology Plan (2011-2013)which was submitted in
May 2011 and approved by the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and the Pennsylvania
Dept. of Education.

I currently administrate the Acceptable Use Policies and Internet Guidelines
and Asset Management for the facility.

Additionally, I have been able to successfully acquire hardware and
software through the Link to Learn Grant Program and EETT Grant programs
sponsored by the Pennsylvania Dept. of Education.

I coordinate all computer donations, both business and personal and I
continue to apply and receive Federal funding discounts of E-Rate for PJPII
Telecommunication Services on a yearly basis.
