The list below is the Dolch Primer Word list. Sight words are words that are
found often in reading. Many of the words are hard to sound out and studying
and reviewing the words often will make it easier for a young reader to read
fluently. First grade students will learn and study these words from
September until January. Our goal is 100% by the end of January. You will
notice that many of the vocabulary words worked on through out the year will
also be found on the sight word lists.
