Homework

The purple Homework folder is sent home on Mondays and is expected back to
school by Friday.
Homework is not sent home during Holidays! We ask you to review Math Facts,
Sight Words, and Harcourt Stories with your child. Of
course we expect you will also continue to read, for at least 15 minutes,
each night as well!!! Remember to write down the titles of the books that
you read on your record sheet! Send it in for a prize or a free Personal Pan
Pizza from Pizza Hut (October through March!)
Thank you for your continued support!

Reading will always be an important part of your child's life. Encourage
your child to read to siblings, stuffed animals, or even to him/herself
whenever possible. Our goal is for the students to enjoy reading and not
look at it as work or as a chore.
Please read to, or with your child each night! Not only is Reading an
important part of first grade homework, but it also reinforces new skills
taught in class and allows for wonderful family bonding time as well:)

You're worth ten!
