Phonics Chunk AR
Dear Parents,
There were some sleepy children in class today!! I met with each child to
establish individual math goals for the mastering math facts program. This is
a math facts program that will begin this week. Students will participate in
oral practice with other students and parent volunteers and each Friday will
have a timed test. Students then make new goals for the following week. Goal
sheets will come home in the homework folder with the facts your child will
be working on.
(These goal sheets will come home next week, I want to establish routines
with the children this week)
Our next science unit on weather also begins next week. There will
be a home project due at the end of the unit! (More info. to follow)
Students will begin to work on their published story. Story
selection begins this week! Today students went through their writing folders
to select a story to revise/edit/and publish.
