Book Report Project Options

1.        Design a board game that reflects the main character’s experiences.  The board game should be designed so that it can actually be played.  Be sure to include directions and all of the pieces necessary to play the game.  Game board must include a Story Elements.

2.             Create a collage that illustrates the conflicts your character experienced throughout the story.  Your collage should include pictures from all parts of the novel.  It should also include a key stating what each picture is and why it is important to the story.  The collage should be neatly constructed and visually attractive.  Collage must include a Story Elements.

3.             Create a diary that the main character might have kept during the story.  You should have a minimum of 4 entries.  Your entries must include supporting details and be as descriptive as possible.  Include the character’s emotions and thoughts about what he/she was going through at the time. Diary must include a Story Elements.

4.        Pretend you are a librarian who is going to introduce the novel to a group of students who have never heard of your book.  Design a “book talk” you would use to encourage them to read it.  Come up with ways to make them excited to read it without giving away the conclusion to the novel.  Be sure to include all of the Story Elements.

5.        Assume the role of a television news anchor and prepare a telecast that highlights the main character’s experiences.  You should have a written narrative of what the news anchor would be describing during the telecast. Be sure to include all of the Story Elements.

6.             Create a Power Point presentation of your novel.  Include the title, author, genre, setting, problem, solution, protagonist, antagonist and a 3 paragraph summary.  You may also include pictures and graphics to liven up your project.

7.             Create a character web.  Choose 4 traits to describe your main character.  Each trait needs at least 3 supporting details.  You may draw this on large paper or you may use Inspirations on the computer. Be sure to include all of the Story Elements
