Homework


Students will lose one point for forgetting their name on graded work and an automatic two points on homework assignments.
Students will only receive FULL credit for homework the day it is due. If late, they will lose one point per day late.

Homework will count towards your students' grades. Homework is expected to be completed and turned in the day it is due. Students will be penalized for turning assignments in late. I will grade some homework assignments for accuracy and some for effort.


Students will receive the chance of a reward if they turn all of their homework in on time throughout the week. 

Please let me know if there were any family emergencies which prevented students from completing homework. When I say emergency, I mean a TRUE emergency. Sports' practices, dance classes, etc. ARE NOT valid reasons for not doing homework. Extracurricular activities are wonderful, and I encourage all students to participate within them; however, SCHOOL COMES FIRST! Stressing this with your student now will help in the future.
 
Also, if a student misses any day throughout the week, spelling contracts are still expected to be turned  in on Wednesday mornings. If the student misses a Wednesday, they should turn them in on Thursday morning and are still expected to take the spelling test on Friday.
