A Bit About Me ...

Hello there and welcome to the 2011-2012 school year! Throughout the year, the
students and I will have many opportunities to learn about each other. Here is
just a little about me. My name is Miss Nucci, and I will be your child’s
third grade teacher this school year. I graduated from Slippery Rock
University with an undergraduate degree in Elementary and Early Childhood
Education. I also held minors in Elementary School Mathematics and Special
Education. I truly believe that learning is a lifelong adventure, and I have
been busy since my graduation. I returned to Slippery Rock while teaching
preschool and graduated with my Master’s in Education Degree majoring in
Special Education. I am also certified in Middle School Mathematics and Middle
School Language Arts. I am excited to share my love of learning with the
students at SPS!

In addition to working in the classroom at St. Philip, I will also be working
at SPS’s after school program and at the Children's Museum of Pittsburgh on
the weekends. In my spare time, I enjoy coaching for Ingram Girls Softball and
scrapbooking. I enjoy playing with my crazy puppy, Bella, and our new puppy we
got this summer, Punxy. I am currently planning my upcoming wedding which will
be held at St. Philip Church in July 2012.

Third grade is a transitional year in elementary school as the children are
encouraged to become more independent learners and begin to have more
responsibilities. I hold high expectations for all of my students and expect
nothing but their best effort and only respectful behavior while knowing that
each child learns in their own unique way. Your child’s success in third grade
can be achieved by us working as a team. Should you have any questions,
comments, or concerns, please feel free to contact me by phone, email, or by
sending in a note with your student. I look forward to getting to know both
you and your child more as we begin our year together.

Thank you!
