Grading Policy
*All tests, quizzes and projects are given with advanced notice.
*Students are required to make up any test, quiz, or project that they have
missed due to absence.
*When a project is assigned, there will be directions, a due date, and a
rubric for scoring.
*Test folders will be sent home weekly. Please sign each one to assure that
it has been seen by a parent/guardian.
Homework Policy
*Nightly homework is assigned. Each student will begin each Trimester with a
score of 100 in each subject area. For each time the student misses an
assignment, 5 points will be deducted from that initial score of 100.
Copybook Policy
*All students are expected to use pencil in their Math copybooks, and black
pen in all other copybooks. Students must write in cursive, and must use
headings that include a title, page numbers, and the date. These headings
must be underlined with a red pen and ruler. Students receive 100 points for
their copybook at the beginning of each Trimester. For every entry that is
missing a copybook component; (proper heading, cursive writing, pencil/pen,)
or contains an undesired component; (scribbling, doodling, drawing, colorful
artwork,) students will lose 5 points.
