As we begin a New Year I want to thank each of you for your wonderful
gifts this Christmas season. The monetary gift was so generous as were the
many thoughtful individual gifts. Many of you have given me the gift of time
and I really have appreciated that so much this year. Your constant support
in so many ways has been wonderful. Thank you to all my parents!!
I was so proud of the children as they played the part of Angels, Mary,
Joseph, and Gabriel. The readers did a great job of telling the story of
Mary and Joseph. The Angels sang perfectly and they held on tightly to those
candles for over an hour. It is my favorite liturgy of the year. We all
enjoyed a donut and drink afterwards and tried to relax before leaving for
the holiday.
We have much to accomplish the second part of our school year. The
children will be busy "connecting" those cursive letters, learning how to
tell time in Math, working with adjectives in Lanquage Arts, researching
dinosaurs in Science, and looking at the thirteen original colonies in Social
Studies.
On Thursdays we will welcome Ms.Rachel McLaughlin to our classroom.
Rachel will work with us one day a week this semester as she prepares to
Student Teach with me in the Fall. Rachel is currently a Junior at
Immmaculata University. It is always a great feeling when one of my former
students comes back to my classroom.
