Catholic Schools Week - 2/5 - Children will go bowling Friday morning. They
are to wear their gym pants and the tee-shirts they designed in computer
class. They are welcome to wear a turtleneck or under armor shirt underneath.
A SPECIAL THANK YOU to all the parents that baked, bought and contributed to
the delicious teacher appreciation breakfast from Thursday of Catholic
Schools week. You should have seen the beautiful display and all the
delicious food. We enjoyed everything!!!
Please send in an empty, 2 quart container to be used to make a mailbox for
valentine's. A classlist went home this week. The children should fill out
their valentine's themselves. They may bring them in anytime before 2/12/10.
Our Valentine Party will be Friday, February 12, 2010 in the afternoon.
Please send in party items and valentines by Friday morning.
Please let me know if anyone is interested in reading to the children as part
of our "Mystery Reader Program." Please call, write or email me, so we can
set up a date.
As part of our Social Studies program on "Community Helpers", we are looking
for any parent that would like to come in and share about his/her job.
Please contact me so we can set up a convenient time to come in to the first
grade.
Thinking Ahead - Each student will bring in an 100's Day project. This
project is due Feb. 24. Creatively think of a way to display 100 items. Use
posterboard, a display or box. The children will display them in the 100's
Day Musuem. More info to follow.
