Mission Accomplished!

Congratulations on a job very well done.  I'll try to get specific information on how our separate parts of the competition were scored and any constructive insights the judges had to offer as soon as they become available.  I'll leave the links to different topics up for anyone who wants to check them out again.  In the meantime, we get to rest on our laurels for a little bit, until next fall, when we get to go back and try again.

Listed below are several links related to ideas we've discussed for our city power supply.  The first link on batteries is rather technical, but it does have a nice animation about 1/3 of the way down the page showing the basics of how a rechargeable battery works, and a little ways after that, a list of materials currently used for making the positive and negative electrodes for a battery. Please check out all of the articles.
