Our Junior High Students will now have computer literacy class including
keyboarding,and graphic arts every morning, 5 days per week for a whole
semester (18 weeks).
I feel this consistency is "key" for keyboarding success. Learning to
keyboard can be compared with learning to play the piano or another
instrument where the brain and fingers must work together. Keyboarding is
a skill that is only successful with continual practice and repetition.
Other contributing factors for students success in keyboarding that will be
addressed are:
1. Proper Technique
2. Memorization
3. Motivation
Parents can also encourage students to practice 10 - 15 minutes every
evening at home using keyboarding software purchased at any retail store.
