3rd Grade:  Write down the birthdates in Spanish (with the year) of 3 young members of your family (anyone with a birthday after 1999)...Remember this is how you write it:  day de month del year (as in 30 de abril del 2012).

4th Grade:  Write a story using all of the bathroom vocabulary on page 52...Story should make it very obvious what each Spanish word means!  (example:  good sentence = My round espejo always fogs up whenever I shower with hot water...bad sentence = I have an espejo in my bano)

5th Grade: Choose 16 nouns - half singular, half plural...then apply a unique adjective to each from your list.  
REMEMBER THE RULE ABOUT ADJECTIVES ENDING IN AN O!...Example, if one of your singular nouns is manzana (apple), and your adjectives list has redondo (round), then you would write "manzana redonda"...If one of your plural nouns is ventanas (windows), and your list has claro (clear), then you would write "ventanas claras".  Again, you will end up with a total of 16 nouns with corresponding unique adjectives.

6th Grade: Write the correct adjective from the list for each of the following fruit...You would end up writing 20 adjectives...See first 2 examples (follow rules just as we did in class!).

7th/8th Grades:  Write 1 sentence for each of the initials in the Ser acronym D.O.C.T.O.R. (Description,Occupation,Characteristic,Time,Origin, and Relationship) .and Estar P.L.A.C.E. (Position,Location,Action,Condition, and Emotion)

7th/8th Grades - HONORS: Write a sentence in Spanish for each of the subjects in the acronyms D.O.C.T.O.R.  (verb ser) AND P.L.A.C.E. (verb estar)...This makes a total of 11 sentences.

Requirements:  You must write a minumum of 5 words for each sentence, and, obviously, use the properly conjugated form of the verb "to be" (ser or estar). 

Example for Time:  SON las doce y treinta en California (It is twelve thirty in California)...Note:  for any hour that is before 1:00 or later than 1:59 (am or pm) you use the plural form of "son" because it is considered plural (more than 1 hour)...from 1 to 1:59 you use the singular form "es" as in "es la una y quince" (it is one fifteen) because you are only talking about 1 hour.
