Miss Raquet is a PLPEEP . Four faculty members of St. Francis of Assisi , Miss Delone, Mrs. Tradewell, Mrs. Polinsky and Miss Raquet along with our principal, Miss Tigue are participating in the Powerful Learning Practices Cohort which is sponsored by the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.
We are all learning about various ways to reach our students and prepare them for the 21st century skills that they will need .We are very fortunate to have access to a netbook cart that can be used in our classroom.
The 4th grade students will create their own gmail accounts. This will allow allows them to share and edit google docs as well as communicate with their classmates. Google also provides each user with a free website. Every student now has a protected website which is made available by invitation only.
The students will also participate in blogging.They will share ideas and express their feelings and opinions. They also learn how to provide connstructive comments on fellow classmates blogs.
