Harvest Visit 2009
It’s fall already and summer has ended, time for a pumpkin patch visit. Kindergarten and Pre-K classes have scheduled a field trip to Merrymead Farms on Wednesday October 21st. The cost of the trip is $11 and will include our bus ride, traveling through the cornstalk tunnel, we will get to see the largest pumpkin in the area, take a wagon hayride, pick out your very own pumpkin, say hello to farm animals, hear the legend of Johnny Appleseed, get a Merrymead souvenir, and ice cream! Kindergarten should wear appropriate gym uniform depending on the weather. The bus will leave here at approximately 8:30 am. We will arrive back at school by 1:30 for regular dismissal time. Lunch will be a picnic lunch at Merrymead in the designated area therefore you will have to pack a brown paper bag lunch that day. Please no SODA or GLASS BOTTLESJ Chaperones may want to bring a blanket for their group in case all tables are occupied. Chaperones must have clearances to attend all field trips. Hopefully you have gotten them filled out and sent off and are waiting for confirmation. If you have done so and would like to accompany us on the field trip please email or send a note to Miss Kqira or Mrs. Park! Payment and permission form for this trip is due by October 14th. WE CAN’T WAIT TO HAVE A FUN FILLED ADVENTURE THROUGH THE CORNSTALKS AND FIELDS OF MERRYMEAD FARMS!
