Hello! My name is Ashley Sassaman, and I am a graduate of West Chester
University where I majored in Music Education. This is my second year at
Saint Philip's! I’m from Bucks County where I am a parishioner at St.
Ignatius of Antioch. I’m very involved in the music
ministry- I’m a cantor, I sing in the choir, and I also play hand bells.
I am very excited to be part of the staff at St. Philip Neri School where I’ll be
Monday through Wednesday. I'm also at St. Maria Goretti (in Hatfield) on
Thursdays and Fridays. I love helping the students make music, and
teaching musical concepts to them in a way that they will enjoy and be able
to understand. Not all students learn the same way, and I will work with them
to find out which methods will be most effective.
While I understand that not every student will love music more than anything,
it is my goal for them to be able to appreciate and respect it as an Art. I
anticipate that the students will learn a lot about music, and hopefully have
fun while doing so!
