A message from Miss Sullivan about One 4 Books:
Starting February 6, we ask you to donate a penny on Monday, a nickel on Tuesday, a dime on Wednesday, a quarter on Thursday, and whatever you can on Friday.  All the money collected in a homeroom will be used by that teacher to purchase books for their individual classroom library.  Thank you for your support of reading.

- Book Fair

*SPN will be celebrating "Peace Week" during the week of March 5th.  Students may order peace t-shirts to be worn in the afternoon each day that week.  Please see the weekly communication email for more information and order forms.  Orders are due Wednesday, February 15.

*Save metal tabs from cans for the Ronald McDonald house.  Tabs can be brought to school and will be taken to the Ronald McDonald house once a month.

*Please remember to visit the pages of the Specials Teachers, as they regularly update their websites with important information.

*The students have been using Nettrekker in computer class and will be using it throughout the school year in other classes too.  Remember, this is a safe portal for students to find useful websites for school.  Try using it at home.

Peaceful Schools Initiative:
     Our class has been working hard to keep our classroom and school a peaceful place.  We have been meeting regularly to discuss conflicts and other topics.  Students are learning the importance of treating each other the way they want to be treated.  Our meetings are helping students learn more about one another and address conflicts on a peaceful way.
      This week, we're focusing on being aware of others feelings, to eliminate hurtful behavior.  We are trying to "catch others being kind" to encourage doing good deeds.
