I attended Bloomsburg University where I received a Bachelor of Science
Degree in Elementary Education. I also attended St. Joseph's University
where I received a Master's Degree.
I am married to my husband, Jim, and have two wonderful
daughters, who both graduated from St. Philip's. Jamie is a junior this
year at Mt. St. Joseph's Academy and Christina is a sophomore at Penn State.
As a teacher, my role is to facilitate and encourage learning in a warm,
friendly, Christian atmosphere. I believe it is important for students to
learn how to work well with others to be successful in the future by using
cooperative learning groups. In my classroom, opinions are encouraged and
mistakes are considered part of the learning process. I try to instill in
each student a love of God and themselves, a love of learning, and the
ability to think creatively and critically.
