Second Trimester 2012

All students in grades 2 through 8 will be practicing their keyboarding skills. Grade 2 is just beginning to learn the keys, so if they can practice at home it would be a help. They are learning the Home Row keys.

Grades 3 through 8 have registered for "Fuel Up to Play60". They can log on at night and put in their activity minutes. They are required to do at least 60 minutes of physical activity a day.

Kindergarten students are getting familiar with the keyboard and will be working with "Bailey's Book House"

Grade 1 is working on "Microsoft Word" and working with the program ABC YA on the internet.

Grades 2, 3, and 4 are learning skills to work with "Microsoft Word". Grade 3 is learning how to use "Tagxedo"
which turns words into a visually stunning word cloud.

Grades 5 is learning how to create formulas in "Microsoft Excel".

Grades 6, 7 & 8 are working on Tagxedo. Tagxedo turns words-famous speeches, news articles, slogans and themes into a visually stunning word cloud.
