About the Pre-K 4's

Dear Parents,

Happy Memorial Day! The excitement is building for our Carnival on
Wednesday! Thank you so much for all of the goodies and prizes that you have
sent in! We will plan on starting the games around 10:00 AM and 1:30 PM. If
you are planning to help out, could you please arrive around 15-20 minutes
ahead? Thank you!! “All Aboard” now for our field trip this coming Friday!
We will meet in West Chester at the Market Street Station (between Matlack
and Franklin Streets) by 11:45 AM. Remember to bring along a picnic lunch as
we will have a 30 minute stop at Glen Mills! The train ride will last 90
minutes and we are due to return to West Chester by 1:30 PM. We will go rain
or shine (can picnic on the train if need be!). We’ll hope for the weather
to co-operate!!

June 4th will be our last day of class and we will have our Summer
Birthday party! Also, our end of the year picnic for families of the Pre-K
3’s and 4’s will be held on Tuesday, June 5th, 5:00-7:00 PM. This will be
held in the Cafeteria and all are welcome! Bring a picnic supper and cake
will be served for dessert! Also, the children will sing a few favorite
songs at the very beginning of the festivities! (5:00 PM in the Gym).

End of the year assessments will be sent home this week. Please let me
know if you have any questions or concerns! A letter from the Kindergarten
teachers will be sent home as well on how to prepare for the fall! We will
plan on inviting some kindergarten children in to visit our class and tell us
a little about what kindergarten is like and answer questions our pre-k
children may have!

Have a wonderful week! Thank you for ALL that you do!!

                                   FRUIT PIZZA

-2 rolls of sugar cookie dough
-2-3 large bricks of cream cheese, softened
-confectioners sugar to taste (about 3-4 tablespoons)
-1 tsp vanilla extract
-small amount of milk or cream

Press softened cookie dough into pan (I used a large cookie sheet).
Bake at 350 degrees until brown (about 10 minutes). Stir sugar, milk and
vanilla into cream cheese until frosting texture. Spread on cooled cookie
and top with fresh fruit. Enjoy!
