SHAFER PTA

Volunteers Needed

The PTA is only as good as its members and its volunteers.  We encourage the Shafer community to get involved and help us to support our teachers and children with school activities.  We appreciate any amount of time you can give.

If you are interested in volunteering your time to help out in our school, there are different areas where your help may be needed. Teachers occasionally need help in the classrooms, in the cafeteria during lunch time, for chaperoning trips or some other activity. Please be aware that to help out in the school, a background check and child abuse clearance forms need to be completed and kept on file in the office. You can get the applications from the office.  Please be aware that the clearances will take up to 6 weeks to get back, so please submit them in a timely manner so that we can use you when you are needed.

This is an extremely rewarding experience for parents, students and teachers! If you have any questions on volunteering in the school, please contact any PTA Officer or Mr. Mudlock at wmudlock@nazarethasd.org. Look for the volunteer sheet to come home during the first week or two of school!

PTA Committee Descriptions 2011-2012 School Year

Each committee listed below has (or needs) a Chairperson to organize that specific committee.  If you are interested in volunteering for an event, please sign up for that Committee.  You will be contacted by the Chairperson to see when you are available.  The more parents that get involved in the school’s activities, the more successful they become.  Feel free to sign up for anything that looks interesting – your help makes a huge difference!
