How can my child receive homework that was missed due to an absence?

At the beginning of the year a form will be sent home asking you
to fill out either the name of a sibling or neighbor who can
bring home work missed in class. If you would rather pick up the
work yourself, you can indicate that on the form and it will be
left in the office at the end of the school day.

How will the students be graded on their report cards?

The district will continue to use the standards-based report card
that was implemented last year. The students will receive a
trimester grade of either a 4, 3, 2, or 1 for Language Arts,
Math, Science, and Social Studies. The Math and Language Arts
sections of the report card will also be broken down and assessed
using the same system, so parents can get a better understanding
of the overall trimester grade.
