Ten years ago, in 2001, I was hired at Shafer Elementary School to teach
Kindergarten! I had been teaching Kindergarten for 5 years before that, but
was ready for a new adventure closer to home. I have been through so many
changes over the past decade both personally and professionally and I am so
glad to be back in Kindergarten this year! Shafer has truly been my "home
away from home!" You should be thrilled that your child has the opportunity
to work with some of the BEST teachers in the state! This year begins my
15th year of teaching grades K, 2 or 3!
I have two amazing children. My son, Logan, is 9 and is in 4th grade. My
daughter, Leah, is 5 and is in Pre-Kindergarten. The two of them have taught
me how important it is to laugh every day and enjoy life to the fullest!
I am thrilled to be your child's Kindergarten teacher this year! I hope this
year is one that you and your child will NEVER forget!
