Each week we will meet one of our Letter Friends! The children need
to bring in a picture each week that begins with our Letter Friend. These
pictures are for our Letter People Journals. They can be cut out of an
old magazine, newspaper, coloring book, computer, etc. A letter will be
sent home each week with the Letter Friend and includes a reminder
about the pictures. If you miss sending in some of the pictures, please
send them in as soon as possible, so your child can complete his/her
Journal. Please continue to review the letters and sounds with your
children, and have your child practice writing the letters also.
Please continue to READ with your child each day. I encourage
Parents to read 10-15 minutes a day with your child. I will be sending a
Calendar home with their Book Baggies. The children need to bring
these every day! If you are reading with your child , please initial their
calendar. The children who have been reading with their Moms and
Dads will get a sticker each day! Read! Read! Read!
Also, please don't forget to check your child's backpack each and
every day! I will be sending an envelope each day with important papers
and notes from the day. Please read, sign if needed, and place any
notes, excuses, Lunch Money,etc. in the envelope to return to me each
day. I collect these from the children each morning. Thank You for your
