Hi! I am Mrs. Daugherty. I graduated from Northwestern High School in
1976. I attended Edinboro University and graduated in December 1979 with a
B.S. Degree in Elementary Education and Early Childhood. I taught at Fairview
School District for a year and a half teaching Second Grade for a year
and Fifth Grade a half a year. Then I came to Northwestern, and taught a
variety of grade levels including Sixth Grade-half a year, Kindergarten - half
a year, Second Grade -1 year, and Third Grade - 1 year. I have been teaching
Kindergarten at Springfield Elementary since January 1986.
I am married and I have one son, Brendan, who graduated from Northwestern
High School in the Class of 2008. While in High School, he was involved in
several activities including Chorus, Concert Band, Marching Band, Fantasia,
Bell Choir, and he played on the Northwestern Baseball Team. He is now a
Sophomore at Edinboro University where he is majoring in Music. He is a
member of the Edinboro University Marching Band, University Singers,
University Chorale, and the Men's Ensemble.
My husband is Mr. Daugherty, who teaches Chorus in Grades 6 - 12 (Sixth
Grade Chorus, Seventh and Eighth Grade Chorus at the Middle School, and Senior
High Chorus, Grades 9-12 at Northwestern Senior High) and Driver Education.
He also directs a special singing group, the fantastic 'Fantasia Singers'!!
