Pretzels are sold each day for $.30. A week would be $1.50. Thank you!
**Test folders are sent home on Fridays!! Please sign each test and the
cover sheet. Thank you for your cooperation!!
The students have been given an extra credit assignments. The first paper
was given Friday September 18th, 2009.
The students will be given plenty of notice before a test. Most nights there
is no written homework for science and social studies, I ask that on those
nights that you read over the notes that the children have in their
copybooks. This will help them so they do not have to cram in all the work
right before the test. Before the BIG test I will give check up quizzes so I
can make sure the students are studying. Please work with your child every
night! Homework is important!

Math Timeline Project
Due Friday October 30th, 2009
The students are working on timelines and how to use them in class.
In order to help them better understand, we will be doing a timeline
project. This project is to be completed and handed in by October 30th,
2009. It must be neatly done and complete by the student. Each student will
need a piece of poster board, glue, at least 5 pictures of themselves, a
ruler, crayons or markers or colored pencils, and scissors.
The student will take the poster board and cut it in half long ways
and glue or tape the two halves together. Then draw a STRAIGHT line from
edge to edge. The student will choose at least 5 important dates in their
lives, they may have more. After the student chooses the pictures they will
have to put them into chronological order and draw a line coming up or down
from the original line. Each picture that the student chooses must have a
sentence under it describing why that picture was chosen and what was
happening it the picture. Pictures may be taped or glued onto the poster
board. They do not need to be the originals. You will receive the pictures
back.

Dear Parents and Guardians,
As many of you already know, I am getting married on November 6th,
2009. Therefore I will be out from Thursday November 5th, 2009 at 12Noon
until Monday November 16th, 2009.
While I am gone the students will have a substitute, Sister Joanne
Uetz. Sister Joanne will continue on with the work that I have been working
on all year so the students do not fall behind.
The students have been working very hard so far this year and have been doing
well. I hope that they continue to keep up the good work.
Thank you for entrusting your children’s education to me. If you have
any questions or concerns during my absence, please feel free to contact
Sister Joanne, the school office and/or Sister Joan Alminde, S.S.J., the
Principal. Any concerns that you would like to discuss with me, I will
address them when I return.
Very truly yours,
Ms. Robinson
