About Mrs. Joanne Montie
Hello everyone, I am so excited to be back teaching at St. Bernadette School.
I have lived most of my life in Drexel Hill. Currently, I live in St. Dorothy
Parish with my husband Michael, my three wonderful children- Amanda, Lauren
and Christopher. Our family is very involved at St.
Dorothy's. Besides being Chris' homeroom mom, my favorite activity at St.
Dot's is being an
extraordinary minister of the Eucharist. We also are involved with the
Homeless Shelter at 63rd and Market Streets.
Many years ago, I attended West Chester University and received my degree in
Special Education. While raising my children, I received my Master's Degree
in Education from Penn State University. Recently, I have been taking classes
at St.Joe's University. I have had the great joy of teaching many children
throughout my teaching career. I have taught in public, private and parochial
schools. My experiences have been varied from kindergarten through 9th grade
in both regular and special education.
I feel blessed to be back at St. Bernadette School to teach the children in
the four year old preschool class. I thank you for sharing your children
