I am a graduate of Duquesne University with a Bachelor's in Elementary &
Special Education. I have been teaching in the Diocese of Pittsburgh for 12
years. This will be my tenth year at St. Bernard's. I am delighted to be
teaching fourth grade again this year.
I live at home with my daughter (Kimberlin), son (Christian), and cat
(Lucky). Some of my favorite things are: cats, kangaroos, the color pink,
Tinker Bell, "The Wizard of Oz," and reading books.
I feel privileged to be working with so many students of various backgrounds,
and I enjoy spreading God's Good News!
This year I will be teaching 4th Grade. I believe fourth graders need to be
given various opportunities for independent learning. Fourth grade is the
year that students begin to develop their own identities. It is a crucial
year in developing organizational skills and life long habits. Throughout the
year, students will grow mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
A good teacher is aware of her students' limitations, but not afraid to offer
a good challenge.
