Dear Parents and Friends:
Trainer Hall was a happy place to be with all the beautiful daughters and handsome dads dancing the night away on Friday evening. It was such a great night and one we hope they will both remember forever. Thank you Debbie Parker, Phyllis Van Thuyne and all their helpers for making the night so special.
Holy Family Hall was a “hopping “place to be on the 20th of March. Thanks to Donna Gablein and Tricia Monaco for chairing the Bunny Brunch. All of the moms and dads who came out to help with the day, your time was very much appreciated.
We appreciate all the help we have received with these events. We would love it if more of you would take a step forward to come out and either help with chairing an event or participating in the event itself. We cannot do all we need to do without your support. Our annual bill to pay for religion books is around $17.000.00 in addition to other expenses such as the teacher luncheon, copiers, copy paper, First Holy Communion Brunch, Book Fair books for every classroom, Box Tops Winners, Mother’s Day Plant sale, etc. We put out the money for all of the Kids Bingos, Ladies Bingo, Casino Night, Father Daughter Dance, etc. in the hopes that they will generate income for all of our endeavors. We love our volunteer jobs and we receive a lot of joy personally when they are well attended such as the Father Daughter Dance. We have kept costs for these events as low as we possibly can because we know all too well the havoc the economy has wreaked on all of us. We hope in the new school year , with the economy rebounding ,that you will all be able to join us in supporting these happy events that we plan for everyone’s enjoyment. We also do this, keeping in mind that some things cannot be fundraisers and are simply for the fun in getting our community together. We would love to do more and will with your continued support.
The last Home and School General Meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 5th in Trainer Hall starting at 7:30. We will have the Used Uniform Sale as well as summer reading books available. Come out and enjoy the tasty treats and libations our Hospitality will have for you to enjoy. Also, the last N.U.T. passes of the year will be handed out after the meeting. Please come out and meet the newly elected Board members as well.
This year is quickly coming to an end and it has been such a pleasure because of the beautiful, talented, kind and generous ladies I have the fortune of being on the Board with and who I am fortunate to call my friends. They work so hard and do it with so much laughter and good humor. Thank you to Lucia who has been my co-president not a vice-president. I don’t know anyone who works harder and who does it with such a generous soul. I love you ladies and I thank you from the bottom of my very grateful heart.
