Who picks the volunteers for the fundraising events?

Anyone and everyone is encouraged to lend a helping hand. Typically there
is a coordinator for each event that is available if questions arise. It's
a great opportunity to meet some new people and build a stronger bond
between home and school.

How do I get in touch with my child's teacher?

What is Special Lunch?

Special lunch is a fund raising event that benefits the kids with a special
treat with a different lunch than the usual daily hot lunch program. On
days of special lunch there will not be any hot lunch served. Volunteers
are always needed on special lunch days - check in at the office at 11:00.

What is the Nutritional Lunch Program?

The NLP provides our school with pre-ordered, well balanced, nutritional hot
lunches. Envelopes and menu's are sent home in advance and must be received
on time. Do not order lunch on a day when your child's class will be on a
class trip - you won't get a refund. If your child is out sick on a day
that you ordered lunch, you will get a credit - make note of the sick day on
the next envelope. Nutritional lunch on Monday is usually a cold meal
because the seniors meet in the lunchroom.Forms are available and have been
sent home to see if your family qualifies for free or reduced rate lunches.

What if I want to take vacation during school?

Most teachers will not give any advance work for you to complete during
vacation. Ample time will be given when you return to make up any missed
assignments. Please make sure you tell the teacher as early as you can to
avoid any confusion or problems.

What can I send in for the class when it is my child's birthday?

With the increase in food allergies, it is best to check with the teacher
first to see what they would consider the best options. Most times, the
kids really enjoy Munchkins, cupcakes and brownies or candy. Non food
options would be pencils, notebooks, stickers, erasers, small toys, books,
bookmarks.

What is Sweets Day?

donated by you and the children can purchase these items for 25 cents each.
This is a H&S fundraising event. Treats that are popular are Nerds, Laffy
Taffy, Airheads, Ring pops, Cow Tails, Jolly Ranchers, Nerd Ropes. They
also enjoy baked goods. Please mark anything homemade if it includes nuts.
