Mr. Smith graduated with honors with a degree in Elementary Education from
Gwynedd Mercy College in 1998. He teaches 6th, 7th, and 8th grade
Mathematics, as well as 7th grade Religion and Language Arts. Mr. Smith
resides in Glenside, and is a member of Saint Luke Parish. He is
a Past Grand Knight of the James A. Flaherty Council, Knights of Columbus,
in Glenside. Mr. Smith is currently in his twelfth year of teaching, all
at Saint David School.
"Life isn't fair, and we have to learn to deal with it". This message is
given by Mr. Smith to his students on the first day of school. He then
points out Jesus is the model that shows us how to deal with life's trials
and tribulations, and that we have a responsibility to help each other as we
travel through the early teenage years. Our mission, then, is to learn and
live by the Golden Rule to treat others as we would have them treat us.
