Does homework need to be checked and signed each night?

Each student is responsible for his/her homework.  
Spelling homework should have no mistakes and follow the correct format for
each assignment. 
All homework is due in class on time.  If it is not with you in class on due
date it will count as points against your grade. Incomplete homework
constitutes a demerit also.
