This past week the students went to the Wax Museum, held in the school
gym by the third grade. The third grader's were dressed in their character
from a book.
They stood around the perimeter of the gym, with a large homemade button
on the floor to push. Once the button was pushed, they told you important
information about themselves. They did a great job and the Pre-K really
enjoyed visiting them.
Our Mystery Reader for this week was Sister Prudence. She enjoyed reading
"If You Give a Mouse a Cookie". The children enjoyed her company and the
story. Thank you Sister Prudence for being our Mystery Reader!
Scholastic Book orders were sent out and you may order on-line or send in
your order to the classroom. You can click on Links and then Scholastic to
place an order. The parents that are using the on-line ordering tell me that
it is very easy to place an order. I will not be sending out Scholastic for
the month of December. This will be our last order for the year.
This past week, the students learned that God made music. The students
sang, made an instrument, and played the piano, guitar, triangle, and drum.
We received our new writing series. Each child will have his/her own
book, which will be kept in school.
Please continue to read to your child every day! I was very happy to
hear how many of you already read to them. It is one of the best ways for
your child to gain knowledge.
God bless,
Ms. Spinnraker
