100 Book Challenge
Remember to write in any books that your child reads aloud at home. It does not have to be one that I send home from school. The idea is to instill a love of reading. You child may also re-read any of our storytown stories online and log them in or re-read any story strips in their St. These all count as short stories! The students are enjoying the reading and we are keeping track of the number of books read on a chart in class.
Pencil Case Supplies
: Many students are running out of supplies. Please make sure your child has a glue stick (large ones are recommended because they last longer) and sharpened pencils. We use these supplies on a daily basis. Also, the price of a copybook is now $2.00.
Remember to use my links tab on the left. You can have your child read our weekly story to you at home. Click links and then click on Storytown book and go to the table of contents to find our weekly story. The computer can read to them or they can read to you! Practice, Practice!
First In Math- Students now have a first in math card stapled into the front of their H copybook. Students may go to this website and enter their user id and password and play online math games. Go to K-2 world for grade appropriate skill practice. Have fun!
