Parents:
It was extremely disturbing to be reminded of the sick predators that reside
on the "Net". Please be vigilant in monitoring your children in every
aspect of technology. It is so easy for young innocent minds to be swept up
into compromising situations.

Please be sure to closely monitor your children on the Internet. Keep open
communications with them as to where they travel on the "Net" and with
whom they communicate.

Children:Just click this link:Oprah Winfrey's Safety Info

Iffy Websites:
Also, we have come across several sites that could possibly
lead your children to places containing inappropriate material and
unrestricted, dangerous chat areas. Please be aware of the following
innocent looking sites:
www.postopia.com www.addictinggames.com These sites are game sites and for the most part contain innocent material. Unfortunately, if your child is an explorer, as most are, they can sometimes reach links on these sites that will "open" unrestricted chat rooms which could put your child in an unsafe, compromising environment. Please supervise your children if you choose to allow them to access these game sites.
www.MySpace.com - Does your child have a myspace.com page? It is a website used to network and make new friends worldwide and is currently the most traveled to site globally. Unfortunately it has become more than just a site to make cyber friends. It can be an extremely dangerous environment and has been in the news way too frequently and is considered to be a cyber predator's haven. Please discuss with your children the seriousness and danger in:
    1. Posting personal information on the Internet. 2. Developing online friendships and connections with "strangers" on the "Net". Remember: There is no sure way of really knowing if "strangers" are who they say they are through online correspondences.
Please make CyberSafety a Family Affair...
