Are students required to do outside reading?

Yes, students are required to read an independent book each trimester. At a
transistion time, or when they have completed their work they have been
asked to read. Every Friday and Monday the class will have R&R time, Relax
and Read. I recommend scheduling some reading time at home. A "Reading
Genres" worksheet will besent home with your student on the first day. Use
this sheet to record outside reading. This will be check on a weekly
basis. Rewards will be given to those students who are diligent readers!

Do students have study homework?

In addition to assigned study homework, students should create their own
study plan. Study homework will be posted on the homework page for each
subject. Never wait until the end of a unit to prepare for a test.

Is extra help available?

Please ask me to help! I will meet with any student who requests additional
explinations of the material either after school or
during lunch recess.

Will students need to memorize answers to questions for Confirmation?

I will assign a few questions at a time. The students will have a
reasonable amount of time to prepare. If they answer the assigned questions
successfully on the due date, they will earn a 100 test grade. Points will
be deducted each day until the questions are answered correctly.
