What is your sick child policy?
A sick child should not be in school. For the benefit of the
child and the welfare of the other children in the class, we ask
parents to keep their sick child home from school (this includes
but is not limited to: fevers, flu, ear infections, vomiting,
diarrhea, pink eye, head lice, impetigo). The school reserves the right to
request that a child be taken home based on signs and symptoms observed by the
teachers.
Children must be fever free for 24 hours before returning to
school.
What should my child wear to school?
Preschool children learn through active play. Your child should
come dressed for school in comfortable clothing and shoes.
My child will be staying for extended day, what should I pack for lunch?
So, your child will stay for lunch at Nursery School!
Here are a few guidelines to help you prepare your child for this
fun time:
- be sure to pack something your child enjoys eating – this is not
the time to experiment with something new
- pack a beverage, sized so that your child can finish it at lunch
- pack a napkin
- include any utensils your child may need:fork, spoon, straw, etc
We do our best to encourage the children to eat healthfully and
to save the treats for after the main part of their lunch. If
your child has any problems with particular foods, we will
discuss it with you.
Remember: We do not have the capacity to cook or heat food.
We do not refrigerate lunches, so use a cool-pack,if things
need to be kept cold.
