My first teaching assignment was at Junior High East in Connellsville,
1971-1980. After the birth of my daughter Sara, I became a "stay-at-
home" Mom. I returned to teaching in 1989 with a job here at St. John. I
have taught 3rd-8th Grades, but I feel my best work is done with the Junior
High students.
I am primarily an English/Literature teacher, but I also love teaching
Social Studies, Music, and Art.
I am the moderator for the Forensic Tournament, and I coordinate our
Christmas program and Annual Spring Musical. I also serve as the yearbook
moderator. All of these activities call for strong student-teacher-parent
involvement, and the effort is well worth it. We have great fun!
I believe that all of us are talented and gifted in so many ways. Our
goal will be to use these gifts to make ourselves, our community, and our
world a better place.
